Following the recent Bihar Assembly elections where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won with a clear majority and formed the government, the BJP-led alliance will similarly win and definitely form the government in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, said Tamil Nadu BJP Farmers’ Wing State Secretary Sivamuruga Adhithan.
He stated that the people across the nation widely welcome the welfare schemes and development initiatives of the Central Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. The benefits of these schemes have reached the poorest sections of Tamil Nadu as well. As a result, a wave of support for the BJP is growing stronger in the state. “Today Bihar, Tomorrow Tamil Nadu” has become the slogan of Tamil Nadu BJP. He added that people in Tamil Nadu now desire a political change due to the prevailing corruption and family-based rule in the state.
Pointing out various shortcomings in the state, Sivamuruga Adhithan said that towards the end of last month, nearly 20 lakh tonnes of paddy ready for harvest got soaked and wasted due to rains in the Delta districts, causing severe hardship to farmers. He further said that in Thoothukudi district alone, 51 TMC of water went to waste into the sea last year. Due to this, many farmers who depend solely on agriculture are suffering because of the lack of groundwater in the region.
He criticized the (DMK), which claims to be the protector of Christians, by stating that in Punnakayal village of Tiruchendur taluk, where 10,000 Christian fishermen reside, drinking water is supplied only once a month. He condemned this as a major betrayal by the DMK government. He also pointed out that for the past 25 years, sewage water has remained stagnant like a pond in the surrounding areas of Thooppur and Karambavilai near Tiruchendur temple town. No government authority has resolved this issue to date. Furthermore, he said that the underground drainage project in Tiruchendur city exists only in name, as sewage frequently overflows in several parts of the town. These are the sufferings of the people under the DMK’s so-called “Vidiyal Government,” he added.
On the other hand, the DMK government has no courage to explain what they have done after borrowing ₹4.5 lakh crore from the World Bank. Hence, people are eagerly waiting for this government to end soon. Just as the BJP captured Bihar today, tomorrow the BJP alliance will definitely capture Tamil Nadu, asserted Tamil Nadu BJP Farmers’ Wing State Secretary Sivamuruga Adhithan.
